What to do next is a common thought among brand owners. Here’s an advice: start selling on Next, we will go through the most important parts of preparing successful Amazon operation on

The beginning is the most important part of the work.

First and foremost, if you haven’t created an Amazon strategy yet, do it now. Whether it’s in your head, on a napkin of your local pub or on Commerce 8© slides, you must have a clear understanding of expectations, requirements and of course what are you going after.

When you have all the information gathered, you need to make decisions about product catalogue, logistic models, resources and initial timetables – and you are ready to go.

Next step is to register an Amazon Seller account. With Amazon, this is an easy task on paper, but sometimes it might be a bit frustrating in practice. You need to provide certain documents to Amazon when registering the account, e.g. credit card information, trade register extract, passport copy, utility bill or similar to prove yours and your company’s identities. If everything is in order, Amazon verifies your account in 24 hours and you are all set for the next step.

As a brand owner, you most likely want to register your brand on Amazon. This enables you to monitor resellers of your products and to create and modify product and brand pages to be coherent with your brand identity.

After registration, you can start listing your product catalogue. Besides sales and reviews, product page information is one of the most remarkable attributes to success on Amazon. Therefore, you need to make sure product photos, headlines, bullet points and descriptions are pitch-perfect and optimised.

On, Swedish Sellers are allowed to utilise FBA (Fulfilled by Amazon) and let Amazon handle the logistics or use FBM (Fulfilled by Merchant) and deliver products directly to consumers or with the help of an external logistic partner. FBA is an uncomplicated, affordable and secure option especially for volume products, and offers added value for consumers as it guarantees the fast delivery. To set up FBA, companies must create shipping plan and follow Amazons package and preparations instructions accurately.

If you are not a Swedish Seller, your option is delivering products directly to consumers or use Amazon FBA in other European countries, e.g. in Germany (in that case it would be beneficial to start selling in the bigger Amazon markets as well, but that is another story).

There is no possibility to create Brand Stores, A+ content, advertise or use campaigns on Swedish Amazon in the beginning, but be prepared to take advantage of all those features when they are open for Sellers. Meanwhile, it is recommended to use external marketing tactics to drive traffic to your product pages on Amazon.

Finally, you are ready to start selling on Amazon Sweden. At Commerce 8, we are willing and able to help you to get things done and start taking all advantage of Amazon’s enormous potential.
