Commerce 8 appoints ex-Amazonian as the new CEO

The board of Commerce 8 Oy is pleased to announce the appointment of Laura Kalinska as the new Chief Executive Officer of Commerce 8 effective immediately. Kalinska is a former Amazon strategic partnership manager.

London-based Laura Kalinska, who begins her role immediately, joins the e-commerce consultancy firm as the new CEO and will be responsible for and lead the expansion and acceleration of the Group companies in the Nordics and internationally.
 
 
Kalinska comes directly from Amazon where she spent the bulk of the last five years contributing to the expansion of the tech giant’s Retail business across Europe. Hired originally at Amazon’s EU headquarters in Luxembourg, she helped scale Amazon’s digital videogames & software retail presence from three to five marketplaces and co-led the EU software subscription launch. Furthermore, she enabled collaborations with key partners within the market segment driving strong topline growth over three consecutive years.
 
 
More recently, Kalinska joined Amazon Advertising in 2020 based out of London to supercharge its agency partnerships in the UK. There she owned the roll-out of Amazon’s ecommerce and sponsored ads (keyword-targeted ads that appear in searches on Amazon) partnerships across advertising holding companies. Most notably, she helped shape and lead Amazon’s Ecommerce Acceleration, a new partner scheme aimed at developing ecommerce capabilities, leveraging Amazon’s API and adtech integrations across brands, large agencies and consultancies to increasing their proficiency in e-commerce and connect the dots between retail and advertising.
