Amazon's European Fulfilment Network between the UK and EU is reopening

You will now be able to expand your business with the reopening of the European Fulfilment Network between the UK and EU starting from March 2022. The cross-border fulfilment between the UK and EU was previously paused due to Brexit.

EU-based companies storing their inventory in an EU-country and using FBA (Fulfilment by Amazon), will now be able to sell on Amazon.co.uk. Similarly, sellers storing their inventory in Amazon’s UK fulfilment centres will again be able to offer their products to customers across Amazon’s EU marketplaces.

So how does it work?

To enable cross-border fulfilment, you must already have FBA offers for your products with inventory stored in local fulfilment centres. If you are an EU-seller, you can create offers on Amazon.co.uk using the same process that you used to create offers on your domestic store – just remember to use the same SKU for both the UK and EU listing. To sell from EU to UK, all of your EU-offers must be enabled for export (Germany, Italy, France and Spain).

Amazon will always prioritize local inventory for fulfilment where available (for example, if you store your inventory in more than one EU country or already ship to both the UK and the EU). For UK-based businesses storing locally, EU orders will be fulfilled directly from the UK. Amazon will thus export the goods on your behalf and you will be able to expand your sales across the border without the hassle of handling additional paperwork.
